Who do you surround yourself with?

Are they people who lift you up? Call you out on your mistakes? Inspire you to do better? Do they care about you enough to have difficult conversations with?

I don't have the same friends I did in high school. Back then, they were trouble, and so was I.

When I got sober, everything in life - including my friends, needed updating.

Those you spend the most time with have an influence on your mood, how you view the world and the expectations you have of yourself. I believe friendships are need to be reassessed from time to time to determine if they are still working in your life.

If you want to be a happy, joyous, and honest person, surround yourself with people who are the same. If you want to be great. Surround yourself with great people. Is this selfish? Is it mean? No.

If those you surround yourself with are depleting the positivity, and creating negativity, it will effect every other aspect of your life, and your relationships with your family and the people who love you.

Today, ask yourself - is your tribe empowering you? Are they bringing negativity into your life? Answer these questions honestly.
